Well, it’s time to throw myself from a perfectly functional plane again! This time I’m doing it for pure enjoyment after winning a competition at work. On Thursday 2nd September, if you are in Västerås, look for me plummeting 4000m straight towards the ground.
Hmm, I hope the parachute opens!
Our friends Thomas and Anna parked their car at our place for two weeks while they went to Florida to attend Star Wars Celebration V. As a thank you, they brought us back some real cool Star Wars cookie cutters. Last night, when Jimmy and David were here, we decided to make some to see how they’d turn out.
Thanks everyone who has been asking about our poor, sick little cat. She’s feeling a lot better now and is back to her usual self. She’s lost a lot of weight but that’s not necessarily a bad thing since she was a bit porky.
We’ve now got a date for when the builder will come and start on the balcony. Wednesday 1st September is D-day so we’ve been working like mad to try and get the paving area sorted out first. Sadly, we don’t have the finances to do everything so we’re going to wait a while before we buy the new slabs. In the meantime we’ve been evening out the ground and putting in sleepers to make a nice edge. It looks really good but it’ll be even better when it’s finished

We’ve been to another wedding. This time it’s our friends Reik and Nadine from Bwin tying the knot. It was a really hot day with blazing sun and blue skies. As well as the usual ceremony and dinner, they had arranged a fun event for which we were split into teams and had to complete tasks as diverse as building a bow and arrow, taking a photograph of 8 big toes and swimming in the lake.

After our site rebuild it’s taken a bit of time to publish what we’ve been doing the last while. I can now report that all our adventures for 2009 and 2010 are up to date. Today we are heading over to Bromma to see Lars and Eva-Lena. It was Eva-Lena’s birthday on Monday and she got a new gas barbecue. I’ll be showing her how it works and cooking up a storm this evening. We gave her the same Börje Salming barbecue cookbook that I got a few weeks ago. It’s ace!
